We all know someone who is an avid Apple “Fan Boy,” right? iPhone’s are the greatest phone ever invented. Well, until the following year. Just watch. Your friend will say the iPhone 7 is amazing until September when the 7s is debuted. Then the 7 is just a great phone, but you can’t settle for great, right?
Personally, I have gone through different phases. One phase was “drinking the kool-aid” of Apple. I had the iPhone 4s. Later I bought an iPad 2. Then I purchased a Mac Mini. What’s my point? My point is that I was enthralled with Apple.
What Was Next?
In 2013, I left Apple and joined Samsung, aka, the Apple of Android. Meaning, you weren’t cool if you did not have a Samsung. I started with the Note 2. I toyed with the idea of an LG or HTC. However, a little over 2 years with my Note 2 and I upgraded to the Note 4.
However, little did I know slowly but surely, I would join another cult.
When I purchased my Chromebook in 2014, I had no idea this would be a start of an era. Did I have any inclination that Google would remove me from the Samsung Cult? No, I promise. Yet, Google infiltrated my home through this beautiful Chromebook. It’s still going strong to this day.
Then, my friends, Chromecast entered the picture. I didn’t think twice about what Google was doing. Those sly dogs, I tell ya!
You won’t believe what they did next. They released a beautiful looking phone. Best rated camera. Google Assistant built in (Hey, playing Mad Libs with her while driving is awesome!). Nearly the perfect phone (Yes, they have some areas they can improve in).
Once I obtained this beautiful, nearly perfect phone, I joined the Google cult. I didn’t realize it until I was looking for the rumored Google Pixel Smartwatch (Why do/did I want one? Probably because it is technology and hey, I’m with Google now).
But, it didn’t stop there. Oh no, that would be too soon.
Google Day Dream. Google Day Dream is Google’s VR headset. You slide your Pixel (or Day Dream ready phone) and you are enter a new world. Day Dream.
Man, do I need help? Probably. I just wrote a blog post about being in a cult. If that doesn’t mean I need help, what does?
