Pokemon GO is an interactive game that requires a smart device (Smartphone or Tablet). You walk around in real life and on your screen, you may come across Pokemon to catch. Different areas and buildings in real life also serves a purpose. For example, a church could serve as a Pokemon Stop. When you are close to a Pokemon stop, you can look at your screen and get some items that you may need.

This video is a review for parents. Should your son or daughter play Pokemon Go?

Should You Play

Parental Review for Pokemon GoThis game is nothing like the original Nintendo Gameboy games. I played the original games and loved it. Yet, this is not my style of game. Just because this is not my style, does not mean I wouldn’t play it.

I downloaded the game to try it out. When I play a game, I don’t want to be walking all over to try and catch Pokemon. I would must rather sit and relax to play.

However, if my daughter asked to play, you better believe we are going to play. We would go catch them together. What an amazing opportunity you have to spend time with your son or daughter…

Concerns

PokemonThe biggest concern I have seen is people ignoring laws and trespassing to catch a Pokemon. This is dumb, and a parent should discuss and teach their children to obey laws. Catching a Pokemon is not worth the danger. The second thing is, do not play while driving. If you think texting is bad, playing Pokemon GO is worse. It is stupid and suicidal. Talk to your kids about being responsible and focus on driving.

Bringing This Home

Go play it. Download the game from your app store so you can go spend time with your son or daughter (or both!). Have fun and cherish the moments you have together.
